Planting Plan - Surbiton front garden

This newly landscaped Surbiton front garden was in need of some structural yet pretty planting to complement the beautiful brickwork, I was happy to provide a planting plan.

The clients wanted the garden to feel open, but also wished for the house to be lightly screened from the road. The carefully positioned Amelanchier x lamarkii and Olea Europea provide shelter from passing traffic, while the Taxus baccata balls give a strong framework for the more delicate perennial plants.  This garden will look fantastic in winter too as the Cornus alba Sibirica and Cornus sanguinea 'Midwinter Fire' reveal their fabulous fiery stems.
