Planting Plans

Here is a selection of gardens that I have provided planting plans for, some as part of a wider garden design, some for the clients to plant up themselves. Please click on the picture to find out more about each garden.

The process for developing a planting plan is quite straightforward. I meet the client on site to gain an understanding of how they use the garden, how they wish to use the garden in future, what requirements and preferences they have for the plants in their garden in terms of both style and practicality.

I also carry out a site analysis and use this together with the findings from the discussion with client to develop a brief. This is then agreed with the client before a garden palette proposal is presented with a selection of plants which meet the brief and would thrive in the garden. The preferred plants are put into a plan which is presented to the client along with hand drawn indicative elevations to enable the client to envisage the new garden once the plants have established.
